To his credit, Solas is quite capable of working with people he finds troublesome, and he isn’t easily rattled. He will even occasionally get in a few choice barbs of his own when teased. But beneath all of that calm is an ancient soul in constant turmoil.
Meanwhile, you have Yato, the calamity god who barely plans anything. He goes into everything full throttle and can be heard to say that anything a god does is the right thing to do by virtue of them being a god. Even though Solas is willing to commit world-ending mistake after wold-ending mistake to restore what he effed up the first time, he’s not a huge fan of hubris and unquestioned authority. So, they’d definitely butt heads fairly frequently.
